Power telescope/tilt malfunctioning

I am having issues with the power telescope and power fold functions on my mirrors. The mirrors hardly ever(I'm guessing here) were telescoped by the previous owner.
First, the motors do operate in both mirrors as they should and they will telescope with assistance, sometimes. Is there a way to clean/lubricate something to make them work properly?

The fold function kinda works too, and I have synced the mirrors more times than I can count. They don't seem to want to lock in the all the way out position, or won't fold all the way in/out. One time the driver side mirror doesn't want to fold properly, the next it is the passenger side. Sometimes neither wants to function properly.

Mine were doing the same thing on an 08...I lubed the snot out of them, prob to much as I did this in the spring and i still have some lube running down the door lol. They work great now though. I extended both mirrors fully...sprayed copious amounts of lube down both extension arms.....retracted and extended multiple times and repeat the lube. Then I angled the glass and sprayed copious amounts of lube in there as well...

Haven't read much on how to service these, they are typically replaced when stuff like this starts to happen. A few years ago I was quoted over $600 per mirror from Tousley Ford when a turkey took out the mirror on my '11.

Curious to see if you find a solution.

What did you use to lubricate them?
