Money Wasting aftermarket Items

Lets keep this fun and not a war please gals and guys.
As I modify my car and pickups, I am realizing most of it is not required.
Its just customizing the vehicles to make me happy, not them better.
With a few exceptions that I do sort of need like overloads.
But there are those items some buy that are just a waste of cash IMO.
So name your choices for top money wasting items...for fun.

For my top choice of something not needed is a catch can.
I had 1 once. It was just a pain to empty.
Usually not much in it , and what was in it was pretty clean looking oil.
That small amount of oil that was already inside the engine, cannot be doing any massive harm to be burned in combustion.
Gas comes from oil.
And the oil is diluted to such a teeny tiny ratio compared to the amount of fuel an engine burns....I think the stock system does a great job.

And go everyone....

LED underdash lighting kit. If they're not too bright I actually think they serve a purpose. They help to eliminate eye strain. At least that my story for my wife.

Cold air intakes. Some may work marginally, but the results aren't worth the money spent.

Cold Air Intakes
Aftermarket exhaust without tuning
Fuel additives/treatments
Oiled Air Filters
Safety wired oil filters
Redundant fuel filters
Coolant filters
Lift Kits
Leveling Kits
Super Duper Awesome Expensive Spark Plugs
Boutique oils (Scamsoil, Royal Purple etc.)

Go ahead and flame away, but the older I get the less I care about these kinds of things. My truck is perfectly capable of doing everything I need it to do straight off the lot, and if something doesn't serve a specific purpose or utility there's no room for it on my truck, not to mention my budget. Never, ever, not once have I ever had any problems with anything OEM, nor have I ever experienced any mind blowing increase in performance or utility by adding any of the above items.

100% agree on the "cold" air intakes. Can't be cold pulling air from the engine compartment.

Stock intake is more of a CAI than the k&n and AIRaid kits are.

Awesome list.
I agree with them all.
Well except the curb feelers.
I mean come on guys....you know it increases your cool factor with the ladies by at least 69 times if you have them.

Wide angle camera mounted to the center console pointed to the back seat of my truck. With a video monitor mounted on the dash. I installed it so I could keep an eye on the grandsons while driving down the road.

I also used a camera with audio functions, but even when I turn off the audio/sound I can still hear the boys back there talking, giggling, fighting and being boys.

A friend of mine bought this for his Nissan sentra back in 2001, lmao! hahaha. I can't believe it's still around!

I didn't want to have to upgrade anything on my vehicle this time around, that's why I got a super-duty! It's already "hooked up"

Both of the brands you mention have a "dam" and rubber gasket to reduce the amount of air from the engine compartment. Both get the primary air from the same location as the stock unit. The K&N I installed on my last truck had the same air intake temperatures as the stock intake as indicated by a Scanguage II. The aftermarket intakes look better than stock, but on the newer engines, I don't think the actual air flow is enough to make any difference in horsepower and mpg.
