In case anyone is looking....got 16" wagon wheels, and good used 16" tires. Too small will do for now. Changed out fluids in trans, t-case, front and rear pumpkins. Got t-case into either 2hi or something like it, front driveshaft turns free but doesn't look right at t-case. Drove her down the county road a ways, using all 4 gears and reverse. Smooth acceleration, a bit more gear noise than I'm used to with these old trucks, may need to keep searching for sweet spot for 2hi. First time it's driven under it's own power in many years. Very happy with how it's going. Has brake issues. The front cylinder was bone dry and crusty. Cleaned it up and added fluid and I had brakes. They are soft at first, but firm up with a few pumps. Not finding leaks anywhere, but seems to be seeping under pressure at master cylinder cover. After a few pumps, will lock up and slide the truck. I know it shouldn't without bleeding, but it does. Ideas?
Thanks

Hey Guys,
I am new here and need to pick everyone's brain. I need a new steering wheel for a 1969 f250 4x4 Camper Special. I want to use one from a 1971 or 1972 pickup because I like them. This truck has now power steering at this time. It has the old junky power assist a guy put on and it leaks every where like they all did. I just purchased a drag link to put on and get rid of the junk system on there now. Going to try manual steering to see how it is before I get the kit from Scot Ibeling in Iowa. What year steering wheels will work on my 1969 F250 4x4 Camper Special??? Thanks

No the 71 -72 and maybe up to the 76 4wd as the shaft is longer.

The 70 column tube were the same lengths as the 71 & 72's and maybe even up 76 that have the same steering wheel.

The 71's an up have a end snout tip on the shaft end with a longer threaded area.

The wheels can't be switched shaft to shaft. Unless you use the matching steering shaft with it's wheel.

I had the same problem after setting for 18 yrs, cleaned every cable. cranks good. I had to put a fuel pump on. 390,300 HP runs like it did when parked. '67 Highboy.
