92 f150 5.0 front tank problems?

92 f150 5.0 front tank problems?

ok guys,

got a 92 f150 5.0L with dual tanks

we was told that the front tank dose not work.

but the pump runs.

and will start on the front tank but there no gas in it.

can anyone tell me what to look for?

i did flip the switch to the front tank once and it die but only once.

My 92 does the same thing. I found out its transferring fuel back to the rear instead end of keeping it in the front tank. I gotta change out the fuel Delievery Module.

so the fuel pump is bad in the front tank?

If its transferring fuel back to the rear instead end of keeping it in the front tank than the back tanks fuel Delivery Module is bad.

I had the same problem, was told it was probably the rear module, and it made since, seeing as how the front pump sounded strong and I did have pressure, just low. After changing the rear assembly, it didn't fix it. Changed the front and problem solved. It is a guessing game. That's why the dealerships would only change them in pairs. If you have the bed off, you could try pulling the rear assembly up some and listen to see if fuel is pumping into the tank. I tried this but don't know if this works, since my rear module wasn't the problem.
