tried the screwdriver with no diffrence. do glowplugs need like, a break in period?

What kind of gp's did you put in? Personally if jumping the relay with a screwdriver didn't make any difference I would think you've got uvch problems.

motorcraft, if the pins look good and i spliced everything in correctly could they just go bad? about a year old and they are Dorman..

Love my ECSB even more with the new SD starter, spins up so quick now. Bumming that I rolled over 150,000 Kms the good news 90% of those Kms where paid mileage (work rig). Guys always bug me about my "old" truck I always laugh cause it has less mileage then most other "new" work trucks heh heh.

I would check and double check those doormans. Just because they have continuity doesn't mean they can handle a load

Dormans are known for having issues. The motorcraft's are preferred

i plugged my truck in last night since it was supposed to get down to 30 last night, this morning zero smoke, and that was in the dark when a slight haze looks like a lot. i guess ill just do that all winter.
