Unhappy Had to sell truck, THANKS for the help.

Me and my father thank you all for the help you gave us on getting our 65 F250 back on the road unfortunatly we have to sell it a friend of dads is buying it. He is givinig us enough to pay off moms '92 Caddie and for me to get caught up on my bills. That would be about 4gs not bad for an unfinished project we got for $300 and have only put $150 into! Not to mention My dads friend Tony the guy I was named after has a sweet '66 he will sell us for $250 with the original 352 and a 390 sitting in the bed. It needs paint and the 352 has not be turned over since '95, but we are going to rebuild the 390 for it anyhow. The 352 too but that will be for a spare or shows if we go stock. We feel this is a good deal for us. Since it should give us more cash to put into th '66 then we have now for the '65.

-I just wanted to add the '65 has an after market flat bed and the '66 is all original we will be 4th owners we think. And I will still be involved in the rest of the restoration of the '65. .....and now that we got the darn thing runnig right and the brakes lights working is it common to have a short in the dash/inst. panel lights? And is there a common prob. her that is easy to fix?

Thanks for the help so far!

Talking Had to sell truck, THANKS for the help.

Sounds like a sweet deal to me!! Two engines and some cash, can't pass that up. Sorry you had to sell the '65, sometimes it's hard to change gears but I have a soft spot for '66s anyway. Best of luck.

Most common reason dash lights don't work is the headlight switch. The twist part that controls dashlight brightness fails and the lights just go out.
