whitlock is starting off with a positive reputation.
I found my truck works too hard on CC in the hills. Now when climbing I take it off CC. Runs cooler. This is prob'ly what's happening to you...too much heat on something somewhere. And yes when my fan engages it sounds like a cement truck.

One time the gauges went high. Scared me so I turned the heat on full. Hot as all heck but...I made the top of the hill. Pulling 21,000lbs.

willydmax is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
A customer of mine has a '14 F350 6.7 with a leaky radiator. He decided he would try some Conklin Dike stop leak on it. Some time later he started having issues with it derating when pulling in hot weather. Long story short he ended up having to replace the oil cooler. The stop leak had clogged it up. I hate stop leak for this reason.
