I was thinking Truckstock was always in the Southeast somewhere and that your Germantown/Jackson WI event would be something different--something in addition to the regular Truckstock gathering. Thanks for setting me straight.

Jim we, Rob in Illinois and me, used the term "fest" to kind of differentiate our meets from the honorable Truckstock. They are all basically the same kind of event. I held mine to try to get some participation from members in the upper Midwest who aren't able to participate in the meet that happens in the southern part of the country. Really, both the same thing.

Bob, I'm always up for an adventure and would enjoy your event--I'd like to go to Truckstock sometime too. Taking the back roads across country and seeing rural America at 45mph is very appealing to me.

It is with a heavy heart that I must mention that I won't be attending TS 2016 this year. Even though the 56 is near completion, I have decided to take a Chicago to LA to Chicago trip this coming August on what remains of Route 66. It is a bucket list thing for me and this is the first year that gas prices make it more reasonable to do it. Also, my father wants to go with me for part of the trip and at 71 he isn't getting any younger. I will miss the event and people but can't justify to big trip so close together.

Okay. It's 5 months from tomorrow, but it's close enough.

LOL. The one on the right needs a plastic surgeon. Just a funny pic I saw on the net, and I thought I'd give you guys a laugh on a rainy Friday night.

I'm looking forward to September. How about you guys?
