Glad to help. This ramp door was factory rated to 3,000# and I think I maintained every bit of its integrity and then some. The only thing I would do different is to not use polished diamond plate aluminum. It's actually a bit slick if damp.
What kind of trailer are you working on?
Feel free to upload pics!

Replaced all 18 bolts on the bottom of door as they all showed signs of rust. To my surprise, some of the bolt shafts were rusted so bad that they were half of their original thickness. So I know water has gotten in the door and Im fairly confident it will look like yours did.
As far as the polished diamond plate, I read that the LineX guys can shoot the door so I will attempt that route.

Thanks Jim...
I sorta stopped updating the Blog once I was finally coerced into joining Facebook.... I suppose I should make a post out there telling people that..
Good luck with your Toy Hauler.
The Fortress goes up for sale this fall as we have replaced it with a Cedar Creek Cottage camper. More living space should really help make the winters down south more enjoyable,
---
So if anyone wants a killer deal on a solid toy hauler - let me know!
