sharp left hand/right hand rear end groan

I have a 2013 F350 DRW, 3.73 gears LS.

25K on the thing.

Today I notice that when I turn a corner I get a groan. At first I thought that maybe the springs are doing it. I sprayed them down really good with fluid film. No change.

So I had my daughter drive the truck with me standing on the rear bumper. It is definitely in the rear end.

Ideas?

It is quiet when in a straight line.

Wouldn't have thought that to be the case.

I was thinking something with the bearings.

Clutches makes sense but I have never had one wear out this fast before.

Add some friction modifier(limited slip additive) to the rear end. If it the problem goes away it was your LS clutches. I find easiest way to add it is pop the speed sensor off the top of the diff and dump it in.

Yeah, it is under warranty so in it goes.

If I were to add some modifier and it went away then I would not be able to take it in and have a proper new set of clutches put in.

So I will make an appt. for it Monday. Let them pull the cover and give me all new gear lube.

Nothing better than new parts and no bill to pay.😉

Hate to say it, but I'm sure they will look at it, and add more LS additive.... And send it on its way..

For your sake, hope I'm wrong. Lol
