Not a bump in the road...what's up Texas?

My travels this week took me.from Houston to Laredo, to Uvalde, to San Antonio, to Killen, to Austin, to Houston, to Lufkin, and back to Gouston to fly home. I stayed off the major interstates when possible. In all those miles, not a SINGLE bump was seen. Not one sitting in a field, or at a garage or on the road. I was paying attention too.

The only one I found was in a pull a part in San Antonio where they have a 68 mostly stripped....but core support is pretty clean if anyone needs one!

I was really surprised. Maybe Teach has sucked them all up to Garland? :-)

Monday I traveled from Tyler to Texarkana and back, mostly on 2 lane hwys. I saw several bumps, one short bed that looked very nice for sale, one with all the windows gone, and several others at houses. They are out there.

They're all laid up in garages receiving CV subframe swaps.

I know of two in my 'hood... a very nice 72 longbed owned by an elderly gentleman and a '68 or '69 SWB with a service bed that hasn't moved in a while.

I see them all over in Phoenix. Drove past about five of them just yesterday. Three of which were driving the other way!

Rednecks around here (coastal SC) tend to drive trucks till the wheels fall off so vintage trucks of any make are rare in these parts. I've seen maybe ten ten bumpsides in the past year.

I see them all around in NC from on the road to behind barns, etc. Since I'm hunting some parts I am always looking. So I was surprised to travel so many miles and not see any.

I only have 2 in my driveway, but there are several all over town.
Did you not see the green one on 35 on the east side just north of San Marcos that has white shoe polish, "not for sale"?

No, I missed that one! Must have been trying to avoid crashing into someone that was slamming on their brakes for no apparent reason! lol
