Home of record thread
It's real easy. Name your home of record and where you live now or an approximation if you choose not to list actual towns. And if you want to add some interest, tell us where you've been in between.
I'll start:
I grew up in Stockton Springs, Maine.
I served in the military for 24 years and traveled the world.
I now live in Hampton, Va which is approx 850 miles South of where I began.

Born in Newport, Tennessee, almost 62 years ago.
Moved to Greeneville, TN at age 2. (Moved when Dad changed jobs.)
Moved to Kingsport, TN at age 6. (Moved again, when Dad changed jobs.)
Kidnapped by my parents (age 13) and forced to move to Brandywine, Maryland. (Mom and Dad split when I was 11. Dad came to DC to find work and when Mom and Dad reconciled, we moved to Maryland.)
I came to Maryland, raising _ _LL the whole trip!
Dad passed away 3 years ago. Mom passed away this past April. She would have been 92 on September 19th.
I have now inherited (along with my sister) Mom/Dad's house. (The distance between where I was born, to my parents' house, is exactly 500 miles.)
After I get all of the JUNK out of the house, we're going to fix it up and sell it.
Even though I've lived in Maryland longer than in Tennessee, I'm still a Tennessean at heart.
