Official Ford Trucks: The All-New 2017 Super Duty

Ford won't reveal any numbers until they can be sure they have everyone else covered. I took delivery of a 2011 in April of 2010. Preliminary numbers had that engine at 390/735 and by the fall they had reflashed them to 400/800. I'm not holding my breath that the final numbers will be released at production.
What is a little ironic about your statement is that they did release numbers at production, along with brochures stating those numbers. they only changed (increased) the numbers in response to GM. So they did have numbers at production and will do so again. They've said they'll have numbers out "soon".

2017 Chassis Cab configurator is up
for anyone wanting to see MSRP on Chassis Cab's 350/450/550 the configurator is up and running. Click on Trucks and Vans tab (at top of page) then at the next page, click on Future Vehicles. Click on Chassis Cab (far right) and wait, takes a second to get to the Chassis Cab page.
"Build and Price" showed up, just under the header. Then configure away, still can't find any specs on Payload and Tow Ratings...contacted Ford, via phone, they said that information should be out "soon", which means between now and the end of July? Just kidding, but one tidbit is that any upgrade to the front suspension seems to get you the 7500 lb axle up front.

saw a 17 f350 today
Im a 2 hr drive fr the closest dealership (Winnipeg) so went for a drive to see the new f250's. Ive been droooling all summer and fall at them on the web. I found one today, a F350. I am disappointed at how tall the back end is. mannn, that looks horiffic. Such a beautiful truck why did they go so high on the rear?. Is the 250 lower?, please tell me yes as I want to order a KR. That 350 today just ruined my dream. I suppose I could lower the rear 5" and front 2". I am at a total loss why the engineers at Ford did this.

The only difference I saw in the rear suspension was the helper springs on the F350..

So first post but I used to have a 2013 F150 Platinum...
Traded in my 2015 GMC Denali 2500HD for a 2017 F250 Platinum PowerStroke FX4, Ruby Red, 5th wheel and goose neck prep, upfitter switches, spray in liner and ultimate package.
It is quieter than my Duramax, smoother power, nicer ride over heavy dips and bumps like rail road tracks, and stupid amount of features over and above the Denali.
I have to say after owning 4 different Duramax/Allisons, the transmission is not as refined as the Allison and other than the poor sounding stereo, I like it a lot.
Well, the new issue is it sits about 6-8" taller than my GMC and I may have to put a lift kit on my 5th wheel camper (still messing with it). But reading the camper forums, this has been problem with Fords and the new Dodges becuase the camper manufactures in 2010 and back didn't build them tall enough to ride level on the "newer" 3/4 and 1 tons.

May break in better, we will see.

Hmm...mine doesn't seem to have those issues. An errant shift once in a great while, but typically perfectly smooth.

Adaptive shifting strategy takes awhile to learn your habits.

Very little, I think between 18 and 20 inch rims because the size and profile of the sidewall makes up the difference. My new Sd is a solid 2 inches taller than old 2005 diesel, crew short box with same overload spring packs and 11,500 lb GVW suspension package. I don't know for sure the 17 inch rims will fit over the new 17 brake discs? Do the XL fm come with steel 17 inch rims? Also ,smaller when and tire combo will probably look funny in the large when well.
