F250 versus F350 2wd wheel bearings
Hey all.
I have a 1975 F250 2wd crew cab. Everything on it was F350 stuff. I got a 5in lift kit from AutoFab in California. He gave me heavy duty beams in return, which is good. The only thing that wasn't f350 were the front rotors, which were f250 rotors.
When I bought new bearings, seals and rotors, I opted for the 350 ones. Here's my issue. The outer bearing fits perfect on the spindle, however there's a small gap between the spindle and the inner bearing and seal. The bearings fit nicely in the rotor, so there's no issue there. When I took a measurement of where the inner bearing should sit, I got a reading of about 1.627 inches. I could get more accurate if I wanted.
Are these spindles f250 spindles, or does it matter? Does anyone know where I can get inner bearings and seals that will fit on the spindle and still be able to accept the 1 ton rotor?

I got a hold of John from Auto fab. For anyone who wants to know, here's the solution. The inner diameter of the spindle was smaller on 1974 and earlier trucks. 1975 and later were larger. The outer diameter of the spindles was the same for both periods. I looked at bore for the pre-75 bearings and they measure 1.625, which is very close to my 1.627 that I measured.
