Mike here in Springfield, formerly the Machine Tool Capital of the World, now the Section 8 Capital of Vermont. I have a 1987 F250 4x4 diesel I ordered from Nordic Ford, and a 1972 F250 4x4 I just got from the original owner. My Dad was a Ford owner and I guess I picked it up from him. My first car at 16 was a two year old 1975 Bronco. In 1980 I ordered a 4x4 Flareside and traded the Bronco. I've already gotten lots of good information from the site.

Good morning Mike. Great to have another green mountain truck(s) owner on the site.

I love those old bump side styles. My dad used to have one he bought that was rolled over. he cut the cab roof off it and used it as our wood truck. I think it was a 250, had 4 speed, 4x4, manual steering which you had to turn the wheel half a turn before the wheels would move. we hauled lot of cords of firewood and pulp wood and logs with that. as well as skidding them.

My dad had mainly fords also which is where I got it from. My first vehicle in high school was an 83 2x4 ranger short box regular cab 4 cylinder 4 speed. good dependable little rig, fortunately it had a limited slip in the rear which is a big help when you live on a dirt road

Unfortunately a lot of Vermont towns are going that way, except for little boston (Burlington)

I approved your chapter member request. I will do a welcome thread for you. please join in on the monthly BS thread when you can. Generally nothing to serious discussed there, more just joking around with other members. A bunch of us visit each others state chapters so you will see members from other states stopping in. everyone is real friendly, but always looking for that slip up to harass someone about for a while about.

here is the link to it

Vermont is a tiny state, but we're fortunate to have some of the oldest Ford dealers around. I'll scan a few pics of my earlier Fords and post them up.

there is around 44 but a lot haven't posted since 2009-2010 so probably time to purge the list. If I just kept ones who have posted since 2013, probably would reduce the number to 12-15. for really active ones there is me, Shawn Bryan and there was another named Dave from New Jersey but he suddenly just stopped.
