for sure WatsonR, Being that we just bought this truck in May and bought into a 2 year ford premium warranty I don't want something to begin failing and I not catch it or to have rear up once this expires. One of 2 ford dealerships I spoke to said they wouldn't replace anything unless the evidence was pretty evident by a CEL. While the other said they no the symptoms and don't mess around.
I have you guys though and feel confident I wont get caught off guard hopefully.

I ran into the same problem with a Ford ESP. The dealers are scrutinized to the point they can't replace parts on new cars. After my ESP ran out I did the oil cooler, cleaned the turbo, replaced turbo hoses and had Ed fix the FICM.
