What Torque Converter/Tranny Rebuild

since the converter in my truck is on its way out i want to get a new one and also get a better transcooler.
i know nothing about transmissions and need help getting steered in the right direction.
i figure i ought to get one to handle what i want to do (stage 1's, hpop, turbo, chip)
and on a transcooler, cnc fab has a 6.0 one for 200, is that good?
TIA!

Triple disc billet is what I would get. I run one from Racer X, not cheap, but a very good unit.

I run a BTS transmission with the precision industries converter 👍🏻👍🏻 I also run the super duty 7.3 cooler mounted in the bumper. Excellent cooling capacity though some here don't think so. I've never had the fluid above 165 degrees with a combined vehicle weight of 20,000 lbs.

Won't work. You need a 6 stud for a diesel.

I wouldn't waste 40 bucks on a used converter but thats just me..... who knows if the person has actually got a good one or one they just ran a bunch of metal an stuff through and now its sold on CL as "good"

well i decided to get a whole tranny rebuild "stage one" through the best tranny guy i know, he has been in multiple magazines and has people come from all over for him and hes only 15 mins from my house. he quoted me 2500 for a triple disc converter, all new internals(he said he was going to take some hard parts from a 4r100 since those are built better?) and new solenoid packs and other electronics, repainted and a new transpan. sound good to you guys?
