Calling all wiring experts

Im putting a new engine in my truck when i bought it it had a bad motor i had to get a new ignition switch and lock cylinder im trying to start it and im not getting anything at the switch but a can start it using the starter relay any thoughts?

Need more info. Is it auto or stick? The switch must be working just not the starting circuit when trying to start it with the ign. key.

These trucks had a bad ign switch that had round terminals and also cooked the ign socket plug that should be replaced too. This could be the problem.

neutral start switch working. Or is the lil jumper wire installed?

at this point it's all wild guesses... gotta troubleshoot the start circuit and interlocks (like the NSS) one branch at a time to make sure the correct signal is present (or not present).

Is there 12V at the "S" terminal on the starter relay when you move the ignition switch to "start"?
