How roomy is the cab in a 1973-79 F150
I currently have a couple of F150s, an '86 and a '92, but I'm wanting a little older one with a carb and no computer. Are the 1973-79 F150 cabs as roomy as the 1980-86 F150s? Specifically, leg room and room between seat and steering wheel. A few years ago I test drove an old Chevy pickup from mid '60s and it was a bit of a tight fit all the way around.

I've had 3 people in the front seat of my truck and it's not bad. No ac was the worst part. I've also had a guy that is 6' 7" in the front and he didn't say anything.
One thing you need to remember is that these trucks don't have cup holders factory. Which is by far the biggest gripe of mine.

Cup holders? The good Lord provided us with a perfect spot between our thighs, which will hold a can of beer perfectly. At least it always worked back when I did such things.

According to your "About Me" profile, you're 50.
The older you get, the tighter the cab becomes, especially when 'arthur' arrives. One day you may wish that you aren't 6-4, but shorter.
Personally I prefer the Super Cabs of this vintage because you can move the front seat back. I bought one new in 1979 (6-6 250) for just this reason.

I can't keep a can in between my legs while driving. It'll barely sit there while stationary.

I think my 77 has a little bit more legroom than my 86 f350, because it doesn't have that huge transmission hump.. and both of my older trucks have way more room than my 2011 f350.. the legroom in that truck is horrible..I'm only 5'11" and I drive with the seat all the way back in my 2011
