VCT Solenoids

VCT Solenoids
What is the correct part number for the most up-to-date VCT solenoid for a 2004 F150 Lariat 5.4L? In my search, I've seen several different part numbers mentioned including 3L3Z6M280EA, 8L3Z6M280A, and 8L3Z6M280B. On every online Ford dealer website, I can't find anything in the diagrams or when searching by keywords such as VCT, timing solenoid, variable cam timing solenoid, or other variations of those. They also don't have a VCT solenoid labeled on any of their diagrams. I find it really frustrating that a Ford dealer website won't show the parts I need. I can find it if I search for one of the above numbers but I don't know which number is correct. It just shows a part and doesn't say if it's for my truck or not. Tascaparts.com does the same thing when I search for parts for my truck. I put in my year, make, and model and try to search for anything I can think of that they might call a VCT solenoid and find nothing. So what is the correct part number for the updated VCT solenoid for my truck? Also, are both sides the same part number? Thanks.

Genuine Ford Parts store
Hey @waldreps, www.fordparts.com lists your VCT Solenoids for 65 bucks each (genuine Ford parts). I just rechecked and printed out the attached exploded view. I ordered them for my '04 5.4L 3v Lariat about six months ago. After placing the order I was able to go pick them up from a local Lincoln dealership parts counter. (I think this is actually a ford back door parts store to compete with AutoZone and other online parts sales). I had called a couple of Ford stealerships and they priced them for nearly $200 a piece. Your correct part number is 8L3Z6M280B.
You can register on the parts site and save your vehicle(s) descriptions, and enter your VIN #, and it will verify correct parts fit - and has lots of exploded views. A pretty neat site. I just check again and they still list the VCTs --- just select year, make, model (2004-Ford-F150) select 5.4L 3v engine, then skip over to Page 4. Near the bottom is part nmber 6M280.
