Leaking Water Pump on a 239 Flathead?

I have a 239 flathead that has been setting for about 2 years (without water in it). When I added water to the radiator it started leaking out of the weep hole on one of the water pumps. It was not leaking 2 years ago. Will the seal swell and seal or do I need to rework the water pump?

Hard to say - keep water in it and let it weep for a week and let us know what happens............... I've had them go both ways.
