F250 factory Satelite Antenna removal.

I have a 2014 Super Duty F250 that the factory satellite antenna is loose and i can hear the air when inside the cab. How do i tighten or remove it. Do i have to pull down the head top and visor to access screws underneath it? Does it just pop off the roof? Is there a cap covering the antenna to access the screws?

thx!

Are you already out of your 3/36 warranty?

No i just wanted to do it myself if it was easy enough to fix to avoid sitting at the dealer all day.

Congrats on the truck..

but doing it yourself.. could void the warranty on that part.. and if you damage something trying to get to it.. not covered.

tell the dealer you do NOT want to sit and wait for hours on what maybe a simple fix... they may work with you... IF you do NOT ASK... ???

On all the ones I have seen working in the body shop the headliner had to come down. There is usually a 10mm head bolt and retainer on them.

I had to get my clearance lights fixed. They had to take the headliner down. My guess would be the same is true for the sat antenna. It took the dealer less than an hour to change out my light bases. One advantage to having the dealer do the work is if you have the same problem again, out of warranty they will fix it under warranty.
