Hey new to the site.

I just purchased a 1979 F800 dump truck, and I need to find parts. not having much luck.

need some things for the dash and interior.

any advise?

also I am in need of some specs on the 370 V4 , like idle settings, timing ect.

Welcome to FTE

I asked a moderator to move your thread to the Large Truck forum, where there are similar BIG trucks. Most members of this forum have F100/350 pickups.

I am in need of help with the dash, the panel that comes out has a plastic backer that is crumbling. the ALT,Fuel,Temp, and Oil pressure Guage. all the small Guages are not working, along with the lights. thing started breaking up and I put it back.
Also the rubber floor in the truck is cracked and crumbling.

Is there any place to get parts?

I also need specs on the 370 4V motor, idle speeds, some one rebuilt the carb but did not adjust, adjusted the idle speed screws by ear. but trck is hard to start. so I know I am off on the adjustment.

Would like to check the Timing . need Plug Wires, Plugs, Dist Cap. those kinda things.

Thanks!

Looks like service manuals are available and would be really handy for carb, timing ect.

As far as the dash, gauges and interior, it will probably be very hard to find parts. An instrument shop can repair/rebuild a factory style dash but can be spendy and slow. You might have to make your own backing plate out of aluminum or steel and use generic round gauges.

Can you post a pic? Might get other suggestions.

E2TZ-10848-B (replaced D8HZ-10848-B) .. Instrument Cluster Back / Obsolete

1978/79 F600/880 / 1978/86 C/CT600/900 without direct reading gauges / 1978/88 L/LN/LNT/LT/LTS600/900 with city delivery instrument panel without direct reading gauges.

No Ford dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any.

Shown as 10848 in pic.

I just checked the timing on my 1985 370 4V and it is set at 10 degrees BTDC. I hope this helps.
