Hi Ken:
I have been busy with the engine, power steering pump and driveshaft. Drivetrain is all welded in and assembled. Radiator is ready for installation this week. Long bed sides have been welded and bent, and I'm going to NPD this morning to buy a tailgate. Not sure if they stock the ribbed front bed panel, but they have the smooth.

As soon as the radiator and support are in, I'll fit the fenders and the work my way back to the fiberglass steps.

Regards, Mark.

Good to hear you are getting stuff done. It can be time consuming.

The main thing is don't give up! I've had mine for more than 5 years and I've got the bug to work on it again. I hope to drive it to California next May. Good luck guys. Keep the pictures coming.

I'm thinking about calling and ordering a set of the fiberglass boards. They look so much better than my original ones. My Hagarty is due in August, after that I'm going to do it.

Hi Ken: You won't regret it. They are significantly stronger than the originals, and don't require much finessing at all.

Keep plugging along.
I hope the pictures I attempted to attach made it here.
Regards, Mark

Looks great! Did the bottom braces fit ok? How do they attach? I'd love to see a picture of the bottoms. Thanks. Lets see some more pics of the truck!

This is how my drivers side looks now. I sprayed it white so they wouldn't rust anymore when it was sitting outside for a while.

Mark,
I just noticed no gas tank hole in the cab corner. Did you fill it or was the tank in a different location. I still need to fill the hole in mine.
Thanks, Ken.

Hi Ken, and whoever else cares:
I did fill the hole for the gas tank with the patch that Mid-Fifty sells. Since I have the 2003 E350 chassis, I can use that gas tank out back or a Mustang tank-Haven't got that far yet!

The steps from Terry's are supported by the original steel brackets, and they line right up.

I took some crappy pictures in the dark just now, so maybe you can see underneath.

Regards, Mark.

Thanks Mark,
Did you just cut a piece out of the replacement corner or use the whole thing. It looks pretty good size the way it comes. Maybe Nifty Fifties has a smaller piece. I was looking at the replacement corner. I also have a big tank behind the rear axle in mine and didn't want the gas tank inside the cab with me. Thanks for the info in advance, Good luck with your build.g
