fan clutch. opposed to a solid hub. are they really needed
My 78 f250 2wd 460 auto. The fan clutch is wore out . Im thinking of just machining a solid hub for the fan. I understand the principles behind them with fuel and horsepower savings. But honestly how much do we save. I tow a 11, 000 pound trailer with this truck and I think id like the cooling reliability of a solid fan hub.
