Annoying banner ad at the top of every page for stuff I don't want, items I have no interest in, etc... Frequently impersonating a "important message".

So now paid supporter status has just this one "small exception" to the NO ADS benefit?

The concept of purchasing membership on FTE (what used to be called "supporter status" & before the debacle of gold/silver "club FTE" bars) in order to avoid the distraction, increased download times, lock-ups & other assorted crap from ads is no longer a given.

Me to...what is up with the pop add in the FTE sponsors place? For what ever they are ying to sell, it changes so often and I miss the FTE sponsor links at the top.....

I have paid the 3 year $ rate, and have been doing that for quite a while, and do NOT like NO adds/BS or what ever. How about some help? Need options...put the FTE sponsor links back up there?

Please? I will send my T shirt back if that will help ditch those adds. lol

 

X2 as Rich. I liked having the sponsors list at the top. It reminded me who I should check out for the products I might have been interested first. Such as the Peragon bed cover I just purchased for my 2011 F 150. If not for that and Tseekins help I probably wouldn't have even known about that company and their product. Especially since I just ignore the ad choices banner anyways.

 

There is no promise of no ads. Even for the three year membership. Just fewer ads.


However, if I were a paying sponsor I would be wanting my money back since the pop up banners are blocking them.


I get a pop up with the initiation of each and every page.


But, hey... not posting that much anymore anyway so it doesn't bother me that much.

Have you guys never heard of adblock?
I have firefox on linux mint with adblock and I see only the sponsors on the page no other ads.
