No I have not. Imported from where? China?

 

Yes. Hong Kong. They are a new mfg and do not have the words Made in USA cast into the body. Usually free shipping about $150.

 

Ahhh. I don't think I'd try it. Unless off EBAY and they have a 100% High feedback score. Carbs are too intricate. Even a 1V to a degree. And those folks over in that part of the world don't really care about tolerances and stuff like that. What about a return hassle?

 

I messaged the ebay seller (98% feedback & they ship from USA) and they said that exchanges / refunds are no problem but they've had less than 2% problems with the 100 or so they've sold.

Truck has an original design mechanical choke.

I totally hate this Holley that PO put on my 240.
It has a stumble at the bottom of the throttle that makes smooth take off almost impossible without blip-blip-blip'ing the revs up. Otherwise the idle is good.

So I've bought a Genuine Carter YF that is a remanufacture someone couldn't get to play nice with a passenger car 200 cu.in.
If it doesn't work better I'll drop it off at my carby rebuild guy and see if he can do the deed to it.
