There's been rumor's that the 6.2 would go the away like it did in the '15 F150 and be replaced with the next gen 3.5 Eco Boost. The same Eco Boost that's going into the '17 Raptor.
Hmm. I actually really liked the '97 style trucks, and Expeditions. Particularly the super crew models. My favorite was the generation right before that, '92-96, the OJ Bronco front end.
You guys really hate the '97 style?
The best truck I ever owned was a January built 96. I drove it well over 100,000 miles and only changed the oil and filter. It never went in for any kind of service. A lot can be said for the last year run of cars or trucks. I am still kicking myself for letting it go but I couldn't afford to keep it and buy the troublesome 01 7.3 liter diesel I traded for. After two years of that truck I had enough and traded for the problem free, first year run, 03 6.0 diesel I still own. Good luck to the guys or gals buying the first year 17 Superduty.

I get that, but Ford would probably just add the EB option not get rid of the 6.2. Ford usually keeps an engine much longer. Since the 6.2 Is only used in the SD, I knew it was safe.
Last night at the Ford truck club they said the 25th... They said it would be simulcast for those of us outside Texas. If I get a link or more official date for that I'll post it, though the guys trolling the web will probably find it first.

*They refers to the Ford reps there.
Thanks for the update.i am looking forward to seeing it.
Ford said that they need a v8 to comply with Flexfuel. Some buyers require a alternate fuel vehicles. I don't think the EB is Flexfuel ready.
The 5.0 is, but even if they add the 5.0 I doubt they would kill the 6.2. It would just be another option. The F150 5.0 could be a great standard engine for the new SD.
It kinda looks like a 1990 suburban to me. I'm excited to see the actual truck and not that terrible picture from earlier this year. I did like the look and I really like what I see here though.
