C6 Trans

I have a 79 F150 4x4 with 351 which I just bought. The seller told me it may take up to 1 minute when it is cold to start moving in drive. He said reverse works fine. Can someone give me an idea of what to do? Thanks!

Rebuild the trans. The seals in the forward clutch have hardened. They need to warm up to be able to do their job.
