Item Condition: CA
Engine: Part suitable for gas truck
FWIW, What I have found is the 5 speed and possibly C6 trucks were mostly still OBD-I. The ones that weren't will have a different hardware code (E4OD is ML1-441).

I have several OBD-I 460 EECs.

Matt, I have the EEC already, but would definitely like to grab the inlet system as a spare for my MAF converted 460. Figure up what shipping would be to zip 23350 if you can please.

Did Ford offer the 460 with a 5 speed? Never seen one.

What were you looking for and thinking I was selling? Almost anything can work....where there's a will, there's a way.
Maybe you don't realize it, but if you're looking for a Ford factory mass air system for a 460, you have to go OBD2. All 460 mass air trucks are post 96, so they're OBD2 and I believe they're CA only, except for the very few, very rare higher GVWR trucks that are still OBD1 after 96, but every one that I have ever seen was speed density. I'm in CA and walk the local pick your part yards, so I've had eyes on a few different trucks and how Ford configured them.

As to 460 5speed they were built, I know of several owners on one of the FB groups I am on for the older (pre 98) trucks.

Ok, so the total will be $120. How do you want payment? Question, do you have any more of the OBD-II peculiar parts, like the misfire detector tone ring on the front of the crank?

If memory serves, tue 460 MAF wasnt available until they switched to OBD2. So it was my error saying it was what I needed. I just glanced at the post while I was at work and saw "460...MAF...E4OD..." and jumped too soon haha.
Conversion to OBD-2 would be more time, work, money than its worth. Looks like I'll be hitting the JY for a Mustang, or similar, EEC. I haven't convinced myself the $$$ for a fiveology kit is necessary.

Wait. The 1st sentence says OBD-I MAF 460 EECs don't exist, and the 2nd sentence says you have several of them. ????

I went through all this before building mine, I was going to use a WAY1 EEC from a 1995 Bronco 302 w/E4OD but could get zero information or help in setting it up for a 460 (I didn't really feel like having the engine buzzing up like a small block every time you gave it much throttle. That is why I went with the EEC-V setup. I was looking at around $800 additional for a transmission controller.

I would assume he is saying the he has several OBD1 computers, which are speed density.

It depends on what transmission you have, there are no Mustang EECs that will control an E4OD, only truck ones. The 4R70W is too much different internally to adapt the controls. 4R70W uses an out put shaft speed sensor (doable) but lacks the coast clutch of the E4OD. The other issue you will run into, the MAF for the 302 and 351, will max out on a 460, the 460 MAF is a 90mm unit.
