I am looking for a 6.0l mechanic on the north Oregon coast. I have a 2003 F350 that I bought and need some work done. I have an old 64 F250 that I can work on in my sleep but am lost when it comes to this truck. Please let me know if there is any one that you can recommend.
I blew the head gasket last month while camping. Due to the circumstances I didn't get a chance to talk to the mechanic and discuss other repairs or upgrades to my F350. The truck currently has 159k, it has the APR head bolts installed (done during head gasket) and the coolant filter.
I tow my travel trailer all around camping and am contemplating moving to Alaska next year. I would like to talk to a local mechanic and discuss work such as the fuel pressure spring, egr delete, tuner, and fixing some sensors. I get a slight hiccup when driving down the road at highway speeds except when the cruise control is on, the turbo seems to slow spool, and a few other issues I would like to see about getting fixed.
Let me know if you want my mechanic. He is near Rickreall (Salem) about 50 miles from Lincoln City. Actually I have two. One did all the upgrades and fixes on mine. Everything.
Parents live in Salem, and daughter lives in Monmouth. The Rickreall mechanics would work great. I have tried to take it to ford in Tillamook but there diesel mechanic is always gone, especially this summer as a wild land firefighter.
