I'm moving this one to the 7.3L forum. What makes you think you need valve guides?

 

The original guide is cast into the head. To replace it the head is drilled and reamed so a new guide can be pressed into place and reamed. The valve seat must be touched up to ensure that it matches the axis of the new guide.

If the original guide has been replaced as I described above, that guide can be pressed out and a new one pressed in and reamed to replace it. The valve seat must be touched up again.

Most replacement guides are precision enough that the reaming process doesn't remove any material, but reaming is necessary to ensure that pressing the guide into place didn't distort anything. It takes special equipment and tooling to remove the original guide without altering the alignment to the valve seat. A good automotive machnine shop should have everything needed for this job.
