I'm installing a fuel pressure sender to run the gauge on my DashBoss. Anyone know where to pull a 5v power source under the hood from? (I'm a little leery about back-probing the connectors at the pcm). Or is there somewhere near the fuse panel under the dash that I could use? Thanks in advance for any help.
Think the power supply has enough "reserve capacity" to support an extra load? I assume it's just a board in the PCM case. I've never see any spec on it. I haven't added any sensors to my DashBoss but I would have expected it to come with the necessary parts to run from a 12v source.
Ipr doesn't use vref, ipr is on ckt 361 12v.

Basicly any of the 3 wire sensors have vref
So do all the 5 wire sensors. The 2 extra wires are for 12v solenoids or heaters

There has to be a limit to how much overhead is there
to use without overloading it.
Sorry for the delay, Sean. I had an unexpected trip out of state on Thursday and just got home an hour ago. I pulled the 5v from one of the pin-outs at the pcm. The fuel pressure gauge works fine now.
