Stock front axle, D44 with the ball joints on the end. I have power brakes but they are still Drum/Drum. Pretty hard to get discs on this specific front end. Wheels are a -24mm offset (i think) but no they do not rub, Theyre a 35" tire and im about to go back to 16.5" slotted mags with 33's. Going back to a more classic look.

Yes, that is correct. All that is remanufactured now. The thing i have had a hard time finding is the OEM front bumper mounting brackets. May need to fab up a set myself.

How hard was the power brake conversion? I definitely want to do that. I like to be able to stop the best I can. What kind of brake booster did you use? Is there a write up anywhere on how to do it? Did it stop a lot better? Too bad you live on the other side of the country. I like those wheels and would buy them off you if you were closer. thanks again for the help.

I wanna say I went to Oriellys and bought a '68 Ford truck power brake booster (pretty cheap like $90 online). The two tricky items on that were 1. making the mounting bracket (they're spaced off the firewall in those years) and 2. running new brake lines and getting the fittings. http://www.carparts.com/details/A1_C...Q&gclsrc=aw.ds
May have had to modify the plunger rod to be the correct length to work with the original linkage.
You can leave the rear axle lines alone and get a + shape fitting where they join up and run two individual lines to the front end. You might be able to use an OEM bracket for mounting if you can find one in a junk yard.
Im not sure it stops better? But it stops with less foot effort, it will definitely lock up the wheels completely.
As long as i have had it the smallest tires it has were 33x12.5 so i didnt notice a whole lot of difference in the tire size between the two. Steering always sucks at low speed or not moving, when youre rolling no prob. I think a bigger difference in Mud terrain vs All terrain. A/Ts definitely roll better.

True, I havent not be able to find any besides a response from a member here. I will either comb some junk yards or end up building a new set. I had little hope for finding an NOS on an item like this one. Thanks for the part #!

Truck looks great, love the old slotted mags on it waaay better! In the process of getting my 63 F250 4x4 going, at the point where I need to decide which engine I'm going with... I have a 351C and a 300 I6, I love the 300's, and as it has 4.56's I'm leaning towards the 6, but having the V8 rumble is tempting... mine could be it's younger brother..
Where did you find 16.5's for you rims?
getting a long deserved shower before being pushed back in the shop

I have a set of 4v 351c heads at the machine shop now, preparing for this 400 needing a rebuild in the future.
