I need a link for a camshaft holding tool. I might have to buy one the local parts store don't rent them out. I'm removing the cam phasers and locking them out. 2005 f150 5.4 liter 3v. I can use vice grips if they really work.

 

vice grips work fine. i just changed my phasers yesterday and we locked out the cams with vice grips. dont worry about damaging the cams, that steel is super hard.

 

Just place the vice grips right behind the phaser?
