Solenoid upside down?

The starter solenoid is mounted "upside-down" on my '66 f100. Is this correct? If I replace it with a new one does it matter if it is one way or the other? The new solenoid doesn't have a "+" or "-" on the big studs, but it does have a "s" and an "I" on the little smaller posts: looking "top" down....

The large stud closes to the "s" is for the battery + cable. The large stud closes to the "I" is for the cable to the starter.
