I'm gonna take a guess and say 360? Pre 77 front grill and it looks like a 360.

Eta: I need to buy some wheaties, neck didn't look like my 400's. Thought it was taller than that picture shows. Eh, not the first time I've eaten crow.

It could be a 77 just based on the grill insert... the left headlight has a full surround.

Doesn't appear to be an FE... the water neck emanates from the block vertically and the intake stops at the valve cover and not under it.

I agree with HIO. Looks like a 77 with a 351m/400 block. And if it is a 77 it has the wrong front bumper. That would be from a 78/79 truck.

Usually it's hard to get pictures but in this rare case it's hard to get words!

The truck is a 77 f250 custom. The engine shown is a 351m, which I am swapping out with another 351m, same year but in the 2wd version.

Put that beam and hoist to good use and lift everything off the frame and start from the bottom and work yer way up.
Get out a notebook and write down what you want to use the truck for and build it towards that purpose. We're all rich boys with deep pockets when it comes to spending other peoples money or coming up with ideas for ways to spend your money. Tell us what direction you want to take this build and how far you want to go with it and I'm sure you'll get some more reasonable suggestions that way.

Basically I want a truck that I can go offloading in, still use as a daily driver and be able to haul stuff. Just a good all around truck that's able to handle whatever I might throw at it. I want to keep it simple enough, and on the cheaper side, yet still enough to do what I need.
