F-150 lift

I got a 79 f-150 that I want to lift enough to run 35's. It has a Dana 44 front and a ford 9" back. Both have 3.50 gear ratio. Will that be fine with 35" tires. Also about how high do I need to lift it with 35's. Anything helps guys just wonder what some other people have done and how it worked out for them.

35s with 3.50s is a little doggy but OK generally. More better if you have an NP-435 manual trans.

Two inches are needed to fit 35s. A four-inch lift is better.

I ran 35's on 78 f150 I had years ago. I believe a 4" lift will clear 35's and look right. A 6" lift running a 35 would probably leave a gap between the tires and fenders that wouldn't look right imho. As far as your axles holding up, 9" rear in mine done fine with that setup. But the 44 front ate wheel bearings like crazy. It could have been something unrelated to the tires. As I'm sure other guys have ran those with no problems. But in my experience it was hard on the bearings.

FYI.. a sixinch lift typically means needing longer driveshafts.

My 73 with a four-inch lift on 35s..

I have a 6 " lift with 35's. I think I would rather have a 4" lift with 33's.
