Econoline experts? I need accurate info.

I'm using the Econoline adapter on my oil cooler housing to get rid of the coffee cans.

I found a piece that might work for adapting my oil filter hoses to the econoline adapter. The alternative is to use the factory lines, and tig weld AN fittings on to the ends of the lines.

I need to know if the dimensions in the econoline adapter are exactly the same as the ports on the econoline oil filter housing.

The piece I've found is meant for the oil filter housing.

Here's some pics of what I'm talking about. The econoline adapter is the one on the left. (On the oil cooler housings pic)

I'm cross posting this to other forums, as I need an answer so I can get it ordered.

I think Mike Chan is the E-series guru.

He can probably say for sure.

The pipes are the same size from top to bottom so I would say yes.

Here's the adapter that replaces the coffee cans.

Here's the home page of the site that I got the -AN adapter from. The site is under construction. I got the image above from google images, and back tracked it.

Guess I'm a little late to the party, but if I may ask, what is the purpose or benefit to relocating the oil filter to the basement?

I was wondering that myself AND I had no idea that "coffee cans" meant. Filter housing? I suppose.

The filter isn't going to the "basement". It'll end up on the passenger side by the battery.

The reason for moving it is to open up some room in the valley. Between the coolant crossover, and fuel crossover going to the regulated return, which will be mounted to the adapter, room in the valley is at a premium. Also, I can now run dual oil filters.
I'm going to a 6.7 pump, so my fuel filter will be incorporated into the pump assembly.

Um, your 6.0L fuel pump has a fuel filter in it. Both the 6.0L and the 6.7L engines use a 10 micron primary fuel filter in the fuel conditioning module and a 4 micron secondary filter mounted on the engine.

They're using the 6.7 pump because most of the time a 6.0 pump won't keep up with the demands of a tuned 6.0 engine.
