Question 2004 Ford Escape 3.0L v6 4WD - hose type/location?

I have a 2004 Ford Escape XLS 3.0L - 6Cyl Transaxle 4-Automatic(CD4E) 4WD.

There's a hose that comes from bottom of the engine, on the firewall side, and it clips or clamps into an "anchor" located on the top part of the transmission dipstick tube.
My question is, what type of hose is this and where it hooks to?

Thank you in advance.

Does anyone know where does this hose goes to?
