a piece broke off from my hood latch. i managed to open it once and close it but i can't get it open again. when my latch bar was misaligned years ago, i could stick my hand in and with the help of a screw driver, open it up. i can't seem to do it, maybe the piece that broke off had something do do with it. does someone have a pic of what the latch mechanism should look like from the top, inside the hood?? thanks, dick r.

 

 

Not sure if this is what you're looking for when you say, "from the top"? I thought I had another picture looking down on the latch but I can't find it.

 

 

 

thanks, folks. i've figured out what broke and i can wrangle it open until i get a new latch handle. i have put a wtb up so i'll replace mine or have a new piece of metal welded on mine. thanks for your support. dick r.
