Am I being ripped off? 11 F250 6.7, blower module out

What exact part are they talking about?
The module that controls the blower is either an EMTC (electronic manual temp control) or the DATC (which is the one for dual zone). Each of these modules is the one that is right in the front of the dash that you control the blower with.
The part may be $110, but replacing it is fairly simple and should not take but an hour or so.
If they are talking about some other part, I would find out exactly what that is.

100/hour is the norm shop rate in the land of taxes. Which is exactly why I fix all my own stuff. I'm lucky I have that ability! Stealership pricing now goes like this 100, 1000, 10,000 just keep adding the zeros to the ones. Hell now a days a 4 wheel brake job is a K large....really! Sickening! Price we pay to live in free...dom.

Have been doing most everything for years. The stealership prices are outrageous for what they do. Us normal working people just cannot afford to pay these ridiculous prices.
And unfortunately a lot of people don't know enough about a vehicle to question the service. Not blaming them for their lack of knowledge or ability to work on vehicles, but just a shame that many vehicle service companies will take advantage of that.
I may be getting old (67-the new 45 I hope), but I will continue to work on trucks as much as I can.
Hopefully the OP will find out exactly what this stealership is trying to do.

This is the part: AE9Z19E624B (EMTC)
I would do the work but doesnt seem to be much info on this and dont have the service manual. Found another shop that will help for much less.
Dealership wanted $1,000 for the work. I know the older units the resistor was right behind the glove and that looked easy enough, but I dont know if the 2011 was moved or not.

Below I have copied the part info from the Ford parts site. Official Ford Parts Site | Buy Motorcraft & OEM Ford Parts Online | FordParts.com
This is for the 2011. If you go there and put in your VIN, it will come up with the exact parts for your truck.
I go there to give me information on the OEM parts, but not necessarily to buy them from Ford.
I googled that part and it is available at auto parts places.
If this is what is bad, it looks like a plug-in module that is under the dash near the blower it self.
So this first picture is the part.
This picture is where the part plugs in.
I don't have a 2011 shop manual so maybe someone here does that can give you the exact way to get at it.
You may be able to see it by just removing some panels.
I gotta belive you can get at this and replace it yourself with a little more help from someone here.
Good luck, Tom

Glad to help. Don't be apprehensive about doing a little investigative work first to see if you can do the repair. It could save you hundreds of dollars in labor costs.
First, purchase the part, because you are going to need it regardless. You will then be able to see exactly what you are looking for under the dash and you will know how it mounts once you find it.
Then, use a small mirror and a light to look up under the dash everywhere you can on the passenger side. Take out the glove box if necessary to also look around.
If you see it, then make the decision whether or not to tackle the repair.
Again, good luck, and let us know what the outcome is. It will help others in the future.

Careful around the air bag. If you do have to remove it there is a safe procedure to power it down R&R then power it back up. Its not difficult just be sure to have the specific procedure for your specific truck. I did a write up in the tech page for an 08. Take a read just to get a reference.Much easier to do what I did on the 08 with the bag outta the way!
