Just Purchased My First Truck, 2002 F-350 7.3 And Question

Hello, I just purchased my first 7.3 with 135,000 miles on it. How do I tell if the Cruise Control Recall repair was done? Can I visually tell?

There should be a short, fused wiring harness between the sensor and stock wiring.

F0rdc0wb0y is right. Look at the passenger side of the master cylinder. It is the wire harness connected towards the front.

If that still leaves you scratching your head, you can call a Ford dealer's part's & service department, give them your VIN, and they can tell you if the recall has been done.

At least on my truck, it looks a little out of place, kind of like a back-yard-mechanic did it, but did it properly. Mine is ziptied to another wire harness.

Diesels were never affected or caught fire.

However, that was not considered when ford complied with the NTSB for the 150 & 250 MY Trucks.

Diesels were included as well (why, I don't know) . Although Diesels are not "Hot While Off" to the switch. A simple DVOM verifies this compared to the Gassers.

When we brought this forward they said "whatever" just get them done in the drive in bay prior to the shop. Only takes 5 minutes max.

If yours has been done it will have Blue Wrap on the Harness with a number.
