Valve cover is cracked in my 2001 Escape

Has anyone repaired a crack in a valve cover as opposed to buying a new cover? If so, what did you use to fill the crack annd was it successful?

No experience trying to repair one but Im sure one from a wrecking yard wouldn't be over $20. If you do try to repair it, I'd "V" the crack with a grinder and then clean it up good with some brake cleaner. Also rough up the area around the crack with some course sandpaper to allow the JB Weld or what ever you use to adhere. Honestly by the time you pull the valve cover and go buy all the stuff to "try" and repair it.........You'd be better off just getting a good one from a junk yard......Just my 2 cents worth
