More of a c6 question

I bought a non-running 1967 ford f100 that someone had swapped in a 351c2v and a C6. I got it running, but found that the column shift pattern is reversed. When the lever is pointed at the "P" is actually in drive and "D" is park. As I understand it I have to pull the pan on the tranny to get the shift pivot lever off. Is there an easier way to get it right?

Thanks
Josh
