Comp, bore&stoke for 262

Does anyone know the compression bore and stroke of a 262 I6? Also. What would litre size be if a 262 is bored .060 over? In litres and Cubic Inch

Thanks man. Anyone have any information on if the crank and connecting rods were forged? And what style Pistons were used?

I believe you will end up with 279 cubic inches or 4.5 litres approximately.

I'm getting about 271 using this one

How to Calculate Bore, Stroke, and Displacement

Cylinders = 6
Bore = 3.78 after .060 over
Stroke = 4.03

271.35

Getting 271.3506 on this one

Engine Design Equations Formulas Calculator Cubic Inch Displacement Bore Stroke

I believe the cranks are forged, not positive. C rods for sure. Stock pistons are cast flat tops. New stock type pistons are NLA to my knowledge. You could probably have custom pistons made.....would be $$$

Cool, what are the purpose of having "aircraft style connecting rods". How is it stronger?

Where did you get that info from?

I can tell you the 262 rods are much beefier than the 223. Larger rod journals too IIRC....

It was a sales ad that said these motors came with "aircraft style rods" and when I asked in another forum I was told it was a bolt That threaded through the cap and into the rod and was told that it was a stronger design
