I know this question has been asked a 1000 times, but I can't find any suggestion lately, can anyone recommend a replacement subwoofer? I don't want to upgrade to a new enclosure and amp, just want what I have to work. The stock woofer sounds like it is blown.

Since I have one I feel qualified to answer. Mine has worked flawlessly since new. I would start with Crutchfield. They have a great track record from what I hear. If it were me I'd at least try a few salvage yards to see if I could find a stock replacement however I suppose there is a risk that you buy a defective one from a salvage yard. I crank mine pretty hard and couldn't live without it so I know what your missing out on. You could even try eBay. I guess the only thing I don't like is the amount of space it takes up but its worth it. I hope this helps.
if you're going aftermarket, look for something with a high sensitivity value. the OE amp doesn't put out much power, so if you put something in there with a low sensitivity value that can handle like 500 watts, that little amp isn't going to move it much. i don't know for sure what ohm rating the OE driver is; it is DVC driver though. that will also help dictate your best aftermarket solution.
i've done alot of reading on the subject and no one has had much "success" with a plug-n-play woofer upgrade.
is it hard to replace the factory amp with an aftermarket unit?
never looked under the backseat cover to see. wonder if the wiring is a thick enough gauge...
i'm not sure about the audio signal, but the main power cable would be too small, and from what i read the remote signal is only 5 volts for the factory amp (aftermarket needs 12v).
thanks for the replies, I got the subwoofer enclosure out today and found the foam around the outside is deteriorated causing the sound to be terrible, I tried the salvage yard and no luck.
