How much did you pay for your Dent?

I bought our 79 Full Size Bronco with a few options for 7500. It listed for 8400. That was in November of 1978, I had ordered it in the summer. I had wanted to buy a 78 but they were on dealer lots and fully loaded for 12000+. It was too late to order the 78s at the time I decided to get one. Still have it, didn't know it was a dent for a long time.
Not me in the picture. Looks a lot like I used too though. Patrick

That's a great looking Bronco!
I paid $750 for my '74. It had been sitting for years and the transmission would only engage in reverse. Put about $1500 into getting it road-worthy (brakes, steering, etc. - transmission rebuild kit was < $100) ... 5 years later, I just did an engine/transmission swap that had a budget just shy of $5k. Need to deal with body/paint eventually since the paint's starting to flake off now, but one thing at a time.
When I got it home
After a wash, a new bumper, and tires/hubcaps

1976 2wd,short box,302v8, 3 speed tranny. Very good condition for the year. originally from Georgia. $1300 and glad to get it for that! Up here in the Northeast, rust free rigs sell at a premium. So,$1300 truck,approx.$500 on motor rebuild,4 speed transmission$150,clutch-pressure plate-etc.$100 (new, craigslist),Probably about another 6 or $700 in parts waiting to go on when finished and I need maybe another $800 in stuff like carpet, seat covers and little things. Total? Around 4 or $5000 when finished and I have done all the body work and mechanical myself. Wouldn't sell it for twice that even if someone was silly enough to offer. Mmmm... no wonder I'm eating hotdogs instead of steak. Gary

Mine was passed down from my dad who bought it new in 78. He passed away at first part of this year and wouldn't take no amount of money for it. Have a lot of good memories with and I took my drivers test at 16 and I'm 48 now. I'm slowly fixing it up to its former glory.
New motor put in Feb 2015
Pick from 90's I believe

paid $2000 for this beauty! F350 supercab 4x4
Had gone from Seattle to Salem Or to look at what turned out to be a complete pile of a dentside. So while in Salem I search CL and found this, I think the guy was asking 2500 but I can't remember. Called him and he said he was at work but feel free to go take it for a test drive and the keys were in it small town life is great! Bought the truck and never met the guy, he had the signed title in the glove box!

I think I paid $600 for mine and drove it 45 mins home, since then I've bought/sold/scrapped about 8 others ($1200 was the most I paid for one and that was a 79 F350 I bought just for the axles) to gather parts for what I needed. I think when all is said and done I'm about $2,000 out of my pocket into my Scab so far and need maybe another $1,000-$2,000 left to go with seals/bodywork/paint/tires. I'll have a great truck for under $5k.

Seen here just I bought it, full of garbage, sitting from '08-'15
78 F150 4x4 reg cab short box, 351m with blown C6 and NP203 TC, $800. Rebuild kit was included with truck, as was an extra C6, so paid about $400 for labor and parts not included in kit for rebuild. Not roadworthy as of yet, still have to pull the rear axle and take it to the neighbor and have new bearings put in, approx. $400 depending on how much wear we run into. So with a little luck I'll have a driveable farm/project truck for about $1600. Does have some rust and some small items that will be tackled slowly, but hopefully wont be anything tremendously expensive at one time.
