Need Help with Tire/Wheel Fitment/Selection
So I have a new CC 4x4 F250 and I don't like the small 275/70r18 tires. I want to upgrade but my suspension is stock. I have spent countless hours looking, googling and searching to see what will fit and what won't. Here is what I'm thinking.
One thing I should note, I don't want the tires to stick out much if any at all. A little is ok, but 2 inches or more isn't my style. Looks good, just not for me.
So, I found a wheel I like, the Method 302 Fat Five 18x9 with a +18 offset seen here;
18x9 Method 302 Flat Black MR30289087518
And for the tire a 285/75r18. It is around 34.8 tall and 11.3 wide. Not many tires made in this size. But this Toyo looks good;
TOYO Open Country A/T II LT285/75R18 129/126S E/10
It weighs in at 65lb. vs. 59lb. for the factory tire. So shouldn't kill my current MPG or cause any downshifting problems, etc.
But will this set up fit??? I figured the tire being a little narrower than a 305/70r18 would help out in not rubbing and not sticking out? Anyone running this setup?
Would like a US made tire, but limited brands in this size. Maybe the Toyo's are made in the US?
Suggestions?

There are several guys on here running that size tire on stock wheels and stock suspension (2011+ SD) with no issues at all. I am looking at that size tire on my stock wheels when the OEM Michelins wear out and I have had very good experiences with the Toyo A/T tires in the past.
Here's a thread with that tire size on stock wheels/suspension.
