It's just my opinion that BTS is the better one to get. But you should call them both up and talk to them and you make your own decision on which one you should get.

Is that why a lot of 7.3 F-250 owners report having problems getting the A/C to be cold? (I'm new to these trucks.) Sorry for the hijack.

Thanks, Jaime. I'll have to put one of those valves into mine.

One other question, if you put an inline ball valve in the line running to the heater core, do you have to add a bypass line to allow coolant to circulate, or can you just block that line?

A bypass line would defeat the purpose of installing it. I turn mine off in the summer when it gets hot, and leave it off till I need the heater again. Last week it was about 55 degrees outside and I set the climate control to panel with the heat turned all the way down. The air coming through was so warm I had to either turn on the A/C or open the windows. With that valve installed, you can actually use the vent for what it's designed for. And using the Ford Ranger mod, it makes it nice that you don't have to open the hood to shut it off or on.

No, what I meant was, do I need to put in a line for the coolant to still flow, but go around the heater core, instead of through the heater core?

In other words, is the heater core in "parallel" with the radiator, or in "series" with the radiator? I'm assuming it's in "parallel," and that blocking flow through the heater core won't affect engine cooling, but just want to make sure.

Again, sorry for the hijack. I searched for an answer to this but didn't find one.

OK, now I know what you're asking! No you do not. The Ford Ranger mod shuts the water flow off just like a ball valve does. The only difference is you can do it from inside the cab with the temperature control ****. With the ball valve, it's closed, or opened, until you pop the hood and flip it again.

The valve that I should have pictured (4 way valve) does the recirculating it's self isolating the heater core
